ROBIOTIC supports social project Nepal AG with donation of 1,380 €

ROBIOTIC: Donation to the Nepal AG, Abt Bessel Realschule in Buchen

The joy was enormous at the Abt Bessel Realschule in Buchen when ROBIOTIC Managing Partner Ralf Krippner handed over the donation cheque: The seven participants of the "ROBIOTIC Weight Loss Challenge" (we reported on this here in the blog earlier) reached together the proud sum of 1,380 €, which will now be donated to the non-profit Nepal AG.

Student project supports construction of earthquake-resistant schools and fair pay for teachers

The Nepal AG of the Abt Bessel Realschule in Buchen (https://www.realschule-buchen.de/nepal-ag) is a non-profit project and developed meanwhile to a complete pupil company with over 20 active members. The idea for the project was born in a lesson shortly after the earthquake in Nepal in 2015. The pupils decided to help concretely and founded Nepal AG. In cooperation with a Lower Saxony school project, the student company "Namaste Nepal AG" was founded. One year later, in December 2016, the Buchener Abt-Bessel-Realschule took over the sponsorship for the construction of an earthquake-proof school in Sotang, Nepal. Through several regular projects and campaigns, such as the Nepal Run or the marketing of fair trade coffee, a donation sum has been generated every year since then that is really impressive. This money is not only used to build schools in Nepal, but also to pay teachers.

High personal commitment of all involved students inspires teachers and donators

Daniel Schäfer (in the group picture at the back 4th from the left) is a teacher at the Abt Bessel Realschule. Together with his colleague Benjamin Grimm (group picture back, 2nd from left) he supervises the project from the beginning and is just as enthusiastic about the donation of ROBIOTIC GmbH as school principal Monika Schwarz (back, 1st from left): "The children invest a lot of heart and soul as well as leisure time into this project and into their idea of a better world. So it's simply wonderful to see how the students infect other people with their enthusiasm and experience appreciation through their support!

For ROBIOTIC Managing Partner Ralf Krippner, supporting the project is a matter close to his heart: "I have the utmost respect for the social commitment of the students. When you see the concrete help that is being provided here, you can only be thrilled. We are proud that with the donation of the ROBIOTIC GmbH we can contribute our small part to help the people in Nepal directly on site".

The pupils Hanna Helter and Pauline Kuhn act as managing directors of Nepal AG and explain how the donations are translated into direct, effective projects: "The people living there present their ideas and necessary measures into which the money is to flow. The pupils can have a say in how the money collected is invested. Thus not only the villagers stand behind the projects, but also the pupils are involved in the decisions."

ROBIOTIC wishes all participants continued success in implementing the aid projects in Nepal! And dear students: We will certainly support this project even more often. At least the next order of your really delicious Fair Trade coffee is already on its way!

Namasté and Dhanyabad (Nepalese for "Thank you")!
